Bhaktivedanta Learning Centre

With the blessings of Sri Radha Brajabihariji and Srila Prabhupada, Founder Acharya of ISKCON, we are inaugurating the Bhaktivedanta Learning Centre on the auspicious occasion of Sri Nityananda Trayodashi – 31 January 2026.

The Bhaktivedanta Learning Centre aims to provide systematic education in Vedic wisdom, philosophy, culture and spiritual practice based on the teachings of the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition.

ABOUT US

With the blessings of Sri Radha Brajabihariji and Srila Prabhupada, the Founder Acharya of ISKCON we have inaugurated the Bhaktivedanta Learning Centre on the auspicious occasion of Sri Nityananda Trayodashi 31st January 2026.

The school is owned by Balaji Empowerment Services Trust, which is dedicated for the care and empowerment of children, women, teachers, senior citizens and        protection of cows.

Our Vision

We empower our members to lead a Krishna Conscious Way of Life and to perform welfare activities for the benefit of others with their life, wealth, intelligence and   words.

Our Mission

In the next five years, we envision a Learning Community for the society at large. It will act as a place of services dedicated to Sri Sri Radha BrajBihariji, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

The purpose of this Learning Centre is to enrich the members with the true knowledge and practice of Bharatiya Sanskriti. It will be achieved through the systematic    training and education in knowledge, skills and values of Bharatiya Shiksha and Krishna Consciousness.

Bhagavat, Pancharartik, Vedic and Contemporary Education will be given to help our members get closer to the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna and to one another. We also want to ensure that graduates will be well placed financially and also, while leading a simpler and natural way of life contributing to the society meaningfully.   

    We also want to instill the spirit of teaching and encouraging Sankirtan Movement of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, with the help of education, culture and services to uplift society in general. Moreover, we want to start similar educational projects wherever possible and, publish and distribute audio-visual, textual, online material and courses using various media.

We have  12 students each in every standard and 6 to 8 devotee teachers, caregivers and administrators who are expert and saintly running the show.

Our Learning Centre

Bhaktivedanta Learning Centre is a Day-School for boys and girls, primarily run by the educated and insightful teachers. The focus of the Day-School or Learning Center is training in Bhagavata, Philosophy and practice as well as Pancaratrika and Vaidika, Education, and as well as the ways of practising them in day-to-day life.  It is a well-equipped centre full-fledged facility for the training in the 5 fields as given below.

5 Aspects of Training in Learning Centre:

  • Krishna Conscious Training - Morning Program, Bhakti Shastri Course, Vaishnava Sadachara, Deity Worship, Outreach etc.

  • Veda and Varna Shiksha: - Teaching and Training according to talents, skills, inclination and , abilities capacity and talent from in amongst 14 Vidyas and 64 Aarts (at least Oone Vidya and Oone Kalaa are mandatory).

  • Academic Training-: All Academic Subjects from SSC or NIOS Boards.

  • Training in life skills : Basic Farming, and Go-seva, Martial Arts, Cooking, -communication, leadership, Yoga, Music, Finance Management and other Home- Science Activities

  • Enabling to face Making them capable of responding to s Socialetal Challenges: How to Dealing with media, politics, violence, peer pressure, addictions etc

Safety & Location:

  • Child Protection Norms being followed, regular training for the students and staff.

  • We are situated in the heart of Uruli Kanchan, a safe place for children. We are Locationed at - Ghatage Banglow, Near Lakshmi Nivas Building, Behind Mahatma Gandhi School, Irrigation Colony, Uruli Kanchan, Pune.

  • We especially emphasize on Home-like environment and traditional lifestyle.

Highlights

1 Sanskrit Education

We will complete the CBSE board Sanskrit books from standard 1 to 10 and also Sanskrit Bharatiya Course (level 1 to 4).

What is the advantage of learning Sanskrit?

  • Linguistic abilities get better.

2 Samskriti Education

We have emphasis on traditional Yoga, Ayurveda and various Vedic upangas. And we practice this as a part of our lifestyle:

Bharatiya Sanskriti based training: Jyotish, culinary sciences (cooking), home sciences, drawing, painting, traditional games, Harikatha and Harikirtan.

Arts & Crafts: 64 arts broadly divided into 10 categories.

Vocational Training: Coding and computer education, farming, gau-seva, cottage industry based product making.

3 NIOS/SSC Education

The boys and girls learn English, Mathematics, Science and Itihasa (decolonized Indian history).

They will graduate with a X and XII certificate through National Institute of Open Schooling or SSC Maharashtra Board..

All students will have a basic training in Shastriya Sangeetam, Bharatanatyam, Ayurveda and Yoga, and can choose these as career options in future along with subjects like commerce, accountancy, psychology and Coaching skills.

4 Admission Procedure

Entry for age group 8 to 12. Currently we have third to eighth standard running. And we have a trial and orientation period for 5 days, beginning from mid June. Admission is given after having a detailed conversation with the child and their family members.

Admission period every year starts from 1st January.

Our Curriculum

Mathematics, Science, English taught as per their grade level (I to V), according to NCERT Syllabus Training in Shastiya Sangeetam, Bharatanatyam and Yoga

Beyond Grade V English and Mathematics will be taught according to grade level.

Introduction to Yoga shastra and Ayurveda shastra

Specialization in one of two of the art fields.
2 years Introduction to shastras. Comparable to Tenali pariksha Preparation for NIOS X Continue specialization in one of two of the art fields.
2 – 3 years Specialization in a Shastra. Preparation for NIOS XII Continue specialization in one of two of the art fields.

Career Options

Students can appear for NIOS X and XII exams. Following which they can pursue any of these careers in the future

  1. BA-PhD Track in Sanskrit with a career option of teaching in colleges, schools, pursuing research etc.
  2. B.Ed, M.Ed, PhD, in education and educational consultancy fields.
  3. Other careers in humanities, commerce or science, while pursuing sanskrit education and teaching on the side.

Bala Govinda Dasa

"Bala Govinda Dasa (B.E.Mech, M.Ed.) is an experienced educator and coach with a professional experience in these fields spanning over 27 years. He joined ISKCON in 1996 and is deeply involved in spiritual activism. He has founded and managed 12 leadership training communities. He is dedicated to empowering a broad range of individuals including children, youth, parents, and educators, primarily through spiritual and educational projects. His professional journey includes significant roles such as the Director of Bhaktivedanta Gurukula and the Chairman of Balaji Empowerment Services Trust. He has also served as a Project Engineer at Tata Technologies and Vice President of ISKCON Pune, where he managed complex projects and collaborated with various stakeholders to translate requirements into high-level products and services. His educational expertise is further highlighted through his ongoing roles at ISKCON GBC College and Bhaktivedanta Education, where he conducts leadership training, curriculum development, coaching, and strategic implementation. His work emphasizes team building, training and mentoring, and designing educational systems and resources."

Mala Bajaj

Mala Bajaj, a distinguished trustee, is a woman of grace. She plays a pivotal role both as a homemaker and as a trusted advisor to her husband in his real estate business ventures. Known for her compassion and generosity, she provides unwavering support to the less fortunate and ensures the well-being of those under her care. Deeply spiritual and a devoted lover of Bharatiya Sanskriti, she embodies the values of tradition, kindness, and elegance in all aspects of her life.

A Learning Community

4 Principles of Gurukula System:

A Gurukula is a learning community which functions on the basis of following 4 principles:

  • The essence of gurukula is the development of a relationship between the student and bona fide guru based on love, faith, service, and total obedience.
  • The primary goal of gurukula instruction and training is for the student to develop pure love for Lord Sri Krsna.
  • Gurukula students must learn to develop ideal character and behaviour especially a taste for austerity, celibacy, study of sastras and service.
  • Also, students should learn how to live in this world as servants of the Lord, working according to their individual psychophysical natures.

⁠Geeta Upasana Mataji

Gita Upasana Devi Dasi is working as a software engineer in a multinational company with about 25 years of experience. She is practicing Krishna Consciousness since 2016 and conducts Srimad Bhagavatam classes for children for last 4 years.

Vedantee Keshav Pandit

Vedantee Keshav Pandit completed B. com. From Pune University. Has a Diploma in Fashion Designing from IITC , Pune. She is excellent at many art forms like jewellery design, dress design, flower decoration, knitting and crochet design. Currently she is a Teacher at Bhaktivedanta Gurukula, Dalimb.

Radhika caranrenu dasi

Radhika caranrenu dasi is an architect and educationist. She has done her masters in urban and regional planning from university of Queensland, Australia. She has also done Master is Education from SNDT University. Bachelors in architecture and also Bachelors in Education from Pune University. She also is a visiting faculty at the Brick school of architecture and Bharti Vidyapeeth college of Architecture. She has also been teaching and helping in managing the Bhaktivedanta Gurukul at Dalimb.

Neha Aggarwal

Neha Manish Kumar Agarwal (M.Com D.Ed) is a dedicated teacher having six years of teaching experience. She specializes in Hindi, Mathematics, Arts & Crafts, Drawing, Rangoli, Cooking, Paper Craft, and Dance. Outside the classroom, she enjoys reading spiritual books. Her multifaceted expertise and passion for education make her an inspiring figure in our community, dedicated to fostering a love for learning and creativity among her students.
